Becoming a Wave Creator

To upload videos on Wave, you need to become an approved creator. This guide walks you through the application process and what to expect.

• Your own channel - Customizable profile with banner and avatar

Application Process

Step 1: Start Your Application

1. Go to /wave/creator/apply/
2. Fill out the application form with information about:
• What type of content you plan to create
• Your experience with video content
• Why you want to join Wave
3. Submit your application

Step 2: Review Period

Our team reviews applications to ensure creators align with community guidelines. During this time:

• You'll see your application status as "pending"
• We may reach out if we need more information
• Review typically completes within a few days

Step 3: Approval

Once approved:

• You'll receive a notification
• Your creator account becomes active
• You can immediately start uploading

Creator Tiers

Wave has different creator tiers with varying capabilities:

Channel Setup

After approval, customize your channel:

1. Go to your Creator Dashboard
2. Add a channel name and description
3. Upload a channel avatar (your profile picture)
4. Add a banner image for your channel header

Verification Badge

Some creators receive a verification badge. This is granted by the platform team to:

• Notable public figures
• Established content creators
• Official organization accounts
