Chats Overview

Understanding group messaging within Cubes

Chats on CUEBES let you communicate in real-time with members of your Cubes. Whether you're coordinating a project or just hanging out, group chats keep conversations organized and accessible.

How Chats Work

Chats exist within Cubes (groups). When you join a Cube, you get access to its chat channels. Each Cube can have multiple chats for different purposes.

Chat Types

General Chats

  • Open to all Cube members
  • Great for announcements and general discussion
  • Usually the default chat in a Cube

Private Chats

  • Restricted to specific member roles
  • Good for admin discussions or special teams
  • Only visible to invited members

End-to-End Encrypted (E2EE) Chats

  • Messages are encrypted so only participants can read them
  • Even CUEBES cannot access the content
  • Best for sensitive discussions
