Research Projects let you collaborate with other researchers on shared work, organize publications, and coordinate team efforts.
What Are Research Projects?
A Research Project is a collaborative workspace where you can:
- Invite team members with different roles
- Link related publications
- Share datasets
- Track project progress
- Coordinate with collaborators
Creating a Project
Step 1: Start a New Project
Go to Create Research Project.
Step 2: Fill in Details
- Name - A descriptive project name
- Description - What the project is about
- Status - Planning, Active, Completed, or On Hold
- Visibility - Who can see the project
- Start/End dates - Optional timeline
Step 3: Set Visibility
- Public - Anyone can view the project
- Platform - Logged-in CUEBES users only
- Members Only - Only project members

Inviting Members
Invite CUEBES Users
- Go to your project
- Click "Manage Members"
- Search for users by name or username
- Select their role
- Send the invitation
Invite by Email
For collaborators not on CUEBES:
- Enter their email address
- Select their role
- Add an optional message
- They'll receive an invitation to join
Linking Content
Link Publications
Associate publications with your project:
- Go to the project page
- Click "Add Publication"
- Search your publications or enter a DOI
- The publication appears on the project page
Link Datasets
Share research data within the project:
- Click "Add Dataset"
- Select an existing dataset or create a new one
- Set access permissions for project members

Project Status
Keep your project status updated:
- Planning - Initial phase, gathering team
- Active - Work in progress
- Completed - Project finished
- On Hold - Temporarily paused
